Striped Tunic+Blue Jeans/The Casual Date Outfit

Hi again, sorry for the time away! I’m in desperate need of a new macbook, the ole’ gal is starting to shut down on me…Naturally, I have been using it as a poor excuse for delaying posts and inadvertently increasing my stress level anyway. Oh how we are attached to our technology, now it even controls our emotions! I’m kidding, sort of. On a positive note, since I haven’t been stuck in front of the computer, Chris and I have racked up on our date nights. No complaints there. Dates don’t always have to be elaborate or well planned. I’ve come to appreciate a 20 minute walk (anywhere), which is exactly what this date was- a sunset and twenty minutes. There is no reason to get all dolled-up for a stroll, but it never hurts to go a little out of your way and resist the urge to just throw on your workout clothes. Below is the “little bit of effort” date outfit, photos courtesy of the husband 🙂

Anthropologie Stripe Tunic (Petite xs *on sale), Charles by Charles David Jeeze Sandal (5.5 *on sale), TopShop Indigo Jamie Jean (Petite 25), Kate Spade Charlotte Street AlekPink Tassel Lariat Necklace (similar)

I love that so many brands have started a Petite line, more so my wallet appreciates the decrease in visits to the tailor. Normally with shirts I don’t have to get petite, but with tunics the length in regular can look like a dress. Anthropologies Petite in this tunic was PERFECT, plus it is on major sale! Since it was a little chilly I grabbed my favorite jeans and some comfy heels, just in case we decided to get some food afterwards. TopShop’s petite jeans are so consistent in sizing that I don’t even need to try them on. They run slightly small (normally I wear a 24 in jeans) but I go a size up in TopShop.

The Jeans: Even with the shortened length, when I wear ankle strap shoes I still have to fold these pants up. With ankle boots, sneakers and pumps the length is perfect.

Once I hit the beach the shoes were off. If you ever get a chance to visit Coronado, CA the weather and views truly are breathtaking. In this photo I am at the Coronado Dog Beach, which Tiberius and Kingsley frequently visit and love. Until next time, hopefully sooner than the last post.

Love,

M&MJ

P.S. Roll Tide!!!!!!
