Fair warning, below is the most delicious,sinful pound cake recipe EVER concocted. My hat’s off to my sister’s Mother-In-Law, Gwen, who shared this recipe with me. It is so easy to make and the end result is nothing short of AmAzInG! Sometimes you just have to let go of those calories and indulge in a slice of heaven. Don’t get me wrong, I am all for eating healthy, but every now and then we ALL deserve a cheat day. Keep reading for the buttery details!! Okay, that too was dorky but honestly this is a cake you cannot stop eating and neither can anyone else.
Gwenie’s Pound Cake
Ingredients
- 6 Large Eggs
- 2 Cups Sugar
- 3 Sticks Real Butter (Sweet Cream, I used Tillamook)
- 3 Cups Cake Flour
- 1 Can Eagle Brand Condensed Milk {All 14oz}
- 1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
Directions
~Cream butter and sugar well, I like to leave the butter out for 30 minutes before I use it. Add eggs one at a time, beating each one thoroughly. Next, add 1/2 the flour and mix well. Lastly, add the rest of the flour, condensed milk and vanilla until complete incorporation. Bake in a bundt cake (spray well with baking spray) at 300 for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
~Normally there is some batter left over, so I like to make mini pound cakes with the left overs!
~I like for the cake to be very moist, so I take the cake out when it is a light golden brown.
****You can have this cake by itself or you could top it off with strawberries and vanilla ice cream ♥
BELOW are pictures from my last cake. It is such an east recipe for anyone to make. Hope you guys will try it out!
Love and Enjoy,
M&MJ
